HIGHLIGHTS

Thanks to changes to the intake, exhaust and cylinder head, the 963cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected V-twin engine produces 90hp,

It’s 1635mm wide (SPORT: 1524mm);

The wheelbase is 2285mm (SPORT: 2040mm);

Ground clearance is 340mm (SPORT: 310mm);

It has 14-inch aluminium beadlock wheels to facilitate lower tyre pressures (SPORT: 14-inch alloy);

It has 29-inch tyres;

Suspension travel is 340mm on the front and 395mm on the rear, with tool-less adjustment (same as SPORT); and

It has an all-new sway bar for more lateral stability.

GET UP AND BOOGIE

The SPORT R is powered by a higher-tune 90hp liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke V-twin engine, that has 10hp more than the previous generation SPORT. The power is managed by a Bosch 'fly by wire' EFI system providing the driver with the ultimate control during both high- and low-speed fun.

ATTACK OF THE BUMPS

Along with the SPORT, big upgrades have been made to the model's suspension setup. Independent suspension with dual A-arm on the front and a multi-link system on the rear has dramatically increased wheel travel and overall enhanced the vehicle's off-road ability. In addition, the SPORT R gets a set of front and rear sway bars to provide the driver with a more dynamic and confidence inspiring feel behind the wheel.

OFF-ROAD

Selectable 2WD/4WD with front differential lock, accessible by a simple touch of a button. Colour-matched 14-inch alloy beadlock wheels with extra-large 29-inch eight-ply CST tyres, not only look fantastic, provide added off-road performance with the ability to run lower tyre pressures to gain more traction in tricky terrain. At the rear the SPORT R is equipped with a limited-slip differential to maintain maximum traction to the ground at all times.
